If you are looking for a fun way to challenge your fitness then why not sign up for our JROX Event?​​​​​​​​

Inspired by the incredibly popular HYROX event, we are bringing our version of this challenge to Journey Fitness. ​
We support you every step of the way as we incorporate Hyrox focussed workouts into our regular classes, plus we introduce a JROX specific training series on a Friday morning in Ägeri in the lead up to the event. You can use your existing packages to book into these classes.

how JROX works
​The JROX Challenge combines 8 runs with 8 functional exercise stations. You complete your exercise station + run and then move onto the next station + run. You continue in this format until you have completed all 8 stations and all 8 runs. It is a challenge of both strength and endurance. ​
​
For 2026 we are introducing 4 categories:
​
Female Singles Category; Ages 14+
Are you a fearless female who wishes to take on all 8 stations and 8 runs yourself? Well, if you can run between 6km-8km, and have been weight training for more than one year, then this category is for you.
​
Doubles Category; Ages 14+ (must contain at least 1 female).
Double the fun and halve the load in this category. You decide who takes on which stations. However each person in the pair must complete a minimum of 3 stations and 3 runs, and as a team you must complete all 8 stations in total. Perfect if you are not quite ready for the full 8 stations individually, or you prefer working with a partner or friend.

Junior Category Full; Ages 6 - 14
There are 4 exercise stations & 4 runs to complete in this category. You must complete all the reps at each station and then a 300m run before moving onto the next station. You must complete all 4 stations and all 4 runs. This is great for someone who wants to push themselves a little bit, and who already has a good level of fitness and strength.

Junior Category Taster; Ages 6 - 14
If you want to try JROX, but don't feel quite ready for the full station set up, then this is your category. You will have 2 minutes at each station to do as many repetitions of the exercise as you can in the set time. You can rest as much as you want! In between each station you will complete as many shuttle runs as you can in 2 minutes, again resting when you need.
JROX PHILOSOPHY​​​​​
JROX is a non competitive event (therefore it is not timed). The idea is that we come together to share our love of fitness and challenge ourselves to try something a little different, amongst the love, support and encouragement of the JF Community .

JROX 2026 is on Saturday 23 May 2026, and entry is now open.

Your entry ticket also includes a JROX Training Pack with explanations of each of the exercise stations, sample training plans, strength & conditioning workouts, and mobility & recovery routines.
​
If you are not a regular member of the Journey Fitness community, we ask you to attend a minimum of 2 sessions in the lead up to this event.
​
Our JROX specific training sessions will take place on Friday mornings at 06:45 in Ägeri, starting from Friday 6 March 2026.
You also have the option of joining any other weekly session where, in the lead up to the event, the workouts will be tailored towards JROX training too.​​​​
