My Background
Certified Personal Trainer, Running Coach,
Boxing Instructor & Online Fitness Coach
Hi I am Gemma, a Mum of two kids, and a British Expat who has been living abroad since 2005. Originally from Gloucestershire, England, I met and married my husband Mark, and pretty soon after we decided to go for it and relocate to Singapore. From there we moved to Shanghai, and then back to Singapore, before settling in Switzerland in 2019.
I have always loved working with people and prior to moving into the Fitness industry, I worked in Human Resources for many years. However it was my passion for fitness that finally won out, and I decided to pursue the career I always thought was just a dream. Since working as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Coach, I can honestly say it is the best job I have ever had.
Alongside helping others get fit, I am dedicated to keeping myself in the best possible shape I can. I believe in walking the walk. I am a passionate Runner and have run a number of half marathons, and marathons. I also love a good Boxing class, HIIT or Spinning session.
Essentially anything that gets my heart rate up, and my endorphins flowing puts me in my happy place and makes me smile. Oh and I also love a glass of red, or a little bit of something sweet, that also puts a smile on my face!
My Vision
I am truly passionate about helping others become fitter and stronger. Watching those I train with achieve things they didn't ever think were possible is so rewarding. I don't believe in boring repetitive workouts, the more you keep it interesting and challenging, the better your fitness results will be.

I know how intimidating it can be taking that first step to join a group class or start a workout routine. My aim is to ensure Journey Fitness provides a welcoming environment to everyone, and coupled with the most supportive fitness community in Switzerland, I hope to show everyone how rewarding and fun group fitness can be.
My sessions normally have an element of surprise that everyone loves to hate. I think this is the reason I have been given the nickname the "Funisher" by my Bootcampers'. A name I am truly proud of and try to live up to each session.
